well did about 2 WOT runs on motor then we did a nitrous run, then another motor run, then we finally did the last motor run, did about a 30punch then it shifting nice and good then when it was going about 75, the tranny went

    BOOMMMMMM!!!!!!!!& #33;!!!!

we were about a mile away from nelson's shop we coasted all the way there... seems like to us and according to some tranny guys that either the outer or inner shaft broke....

well so there I am just thinking what the hell Im going to do.... this just sux!! I really didnt wanted to leave the truck their cause I would have to make another trip to pick it up....

so we called UHAUL and they did not let no one tow anything with their 1/2 ton trucks.... so I ended up renting a 14ft moving truck and a car trailer.....
so towed my truck back all the way to Houston, straight to the tranny shop here, I believe its still under warranty?, he is going to take a look at it in the morning, I really dont know what to do cause I really want the FLT but I just dont have enough funds to keep on modding the truck for now, I spend enough getting the LQ9, and the holidays are just around the corner and we will be going on vacation so Im out of luck.. and the wife sure aint happy about what just happened... so to say the least the truck might be just sitting at home until I can get a FLT and it wont be probably until January...

well I just had to share another tranny thread with ya'll...
by the way the ride in allen's avalanche was freaking awesome... I like how them turbo's sound!

just got back from the tranny shop, the tranny is SAVED!!!! the only thing that broke was the input drum (i think thats what it is called). its the cup looking thing were the inner shaft goes into.... his opinion was that this usually happens when you have alot of power and you dont have the right suspension, he says that the shaft will start vibrating a little until enough power makes it break... I dont know if this is true?? but he said his turbo'd 6.0 did the same, and after he did all his rear suspension, he has never had a problem with it??? he said the truck might be ready to pick up tomorrow morning, he told me to take it to the track tomorrow since he is also wondering what the truck will do... I might have to go for a couple of runs...

dont know whenever I go pick up the truck, Im going to check it out, if I remember right he said the guy that did it for him charged him about $700 for it installed... and he said it is a world of a difference, no traction problems either, his best run is a 12.4 back in august, ECSB 6.0 w/turbo, and I might be wrong but he was on 22's...
