welcome! u might try reading on the LS1 Conversion part of the website, and see whats under there. a lot of people r into the 6.0 swaps now, and im one of them. if u do decide to go 6.0 theres a lot of great information on how to do that on here, alot of which was by me and of course many others contributed! if u need photos or anything just holler, ill try to get some of it soon enough.

displacement. and more horsepower most of the time stock. an lq4 can run anywhere from 300 to 325 stock hp, while a lq9 will run 345 hp stock. to my knowledge(and i could very well be wrong) an ls1 has anywhere from 300-325 maybe 350 stock, so they run around the same hp stock. displacement is big tho, again its something ull pay for later on IF u want monster power. ull see a lot of guys with the 5.3 engines or the 4.8's especially changing to the 6.0 for displacement purposes. PLUS the 6.0 is a truck motor already, and while it isnt too bad putting an actual ls1 in the trucks ull see braketry differences and other issue that u wont see with the 6.0 either way ur getting a winner, but i chose the 6.0 for displacement purposes.
