Thread: can you help me with the cam?

    216/220 525/532 114LSA Comp XR269HR Cam

    in my 4.8 rcsb auto and a 3000/3200/3400 stall i dont have a stall yet... what kind of powerband does the cam have? can i use the cam without a stall?

    I don't know why not. Call the CompCams tech line and they will give you the answers. You can run any cam without a stall, it just won't be in the power band when at the lower RPMs. That cam is really not too aggressive, so I don't know why it wouldn't work just fine with stock parts. I'd still do the stall ASAP. Get about a 2800+ RPM stall and you'll love it. I wouldn't bother doing many upgrades if you have an open rear end. Get a limited slip installed first if you don't already have one. With the cam you will need some tuning so be sure that's in the budget.

    If you get on it and spin only one tire you have an open rear end. If you have a LSD, it will spin both tires when going in a straight line. If you have a G80, it might be good to replace it with something else that won't self destruct.

    its a one wheel wonder! what kind of hp and 1/4gains am i looking at?

    longtube headers
    off road ypipe
    outlaw cold air intake
    4.10 gears
    cutout these are my other mods

    Wow you put 4.10s in an open diff?

    The 4.10s are good for 1/2 second off of an 1/8 mile all by themselves if you hook up.

    I would hope that you would have dropped a full second off of your 1/4 mile times with those mods.
