Was driving home from work the other day and punched it to pass someone. When I let off of the throttle it didn't stop, it just kept going. I thought this was pretty strange so I tapped the throttle and the engine revved higher. I thought oh shit, the cable is stuck! I went to turn the ignition off and it wouldn't shut off in gear only the air and radio would turn off! I thought, how in the hell am I going to shut this thing off without ripping wires out or tearing something up since there are no fuses to pull driving 60 mph down the highway. There was no time to mess around so I pulled over on the side of the highway just in front of a Metro policeman in a 4 door squad truck. I put on the brakes and started buring a little rubber so he pulled up behind me blocking the highway. The only thing I could do at the time was throw it into Park to get it to shut off. The engine unloaded and started revving prtty high but I was able to shut it off quick in Park only. When I got out I looked at the cable and a few wires in the cable had broke and got caught up in the cable. I told the cop what happened and he kinda laughed and went back to looking at his laptop. I bought a new one and installed it making sure there wasn't too much clearance between the pedal and the floor. There's a little bit so I'll have to correct for that but everything else under the hood looks great at WOT. I need to look at the wiring to see what the hell is going on with the ignition switch. It shuts everything off except for the engine. Any suggestions before I start trouble shooting? Anyone else had this type of problem from their install?

I was thinking the same thing until I figure out the problem. You know what, I just though about something. I was messing with a wire on the back of the a/c selector switch that was loose and my watch is stainless and somehow arched across the keys in the ignition and I felt a little zap. Maybe I fried the ignition switch somehow, I know everything worked before that.

BTW, thanks for your concerns guys!
