That's the support I was looking for man, thanks for the info!
Thanks again man, I figure ill have to do something to strengthen the rear end anyway, so gears will now be a must. How is your mileage with the 4.56's? I was thinking along the lines of a 3.90, or a 4.10.

im not sure ud lose that much, usually he most ud lose is 1-3 MPG on gear swaps. if u going with this setup, would gas mileage be a concern. i understand that everyone wants the best driveability possible, but for what u lose in gears u can make up for on other things(CAI, synthetics, etc...). i think ud definitely get around 16-20MPG easily. the way u drive will ultimately determine ur gas mileage, but thats a no brainer haha

very true, mileage is not the main concern, but it's still a concern. I like the fact that a GTO with a 6.0 gets 28 on the highway, power and mileage is the main driving force behind this idea. I did not know that the gears only hurt mileage that much, it may not be that big of a deal all said and done. Thanks man.

yeah no problem, ill try to find some posts to back it up, but ur not gonna be pulling the MPG down too bad. like i said its more the way u drive it after the mods r done thats will affect that. a lot of people get mods done and stomp on it all the time cuz its intrguing, but then they complain about gas mileage. the parts dont causes that huge of a gap, ur not gonna go form 20mpg to like 13 just by doing gears. itd be more of a change in ur driving habit that would cause the change.

EDIT: tired of looking through posts haha theres info on it just have to search and find them. i did find some posts in the t56 just hit the search button up top and type keywords liek "T56" and "gears" and ull be fine.
