Is there a difference in the LS1 cam from different years (98 to 2002). Just curiouse which would be the best to go with.
Thanks,
Randy

Yeah I got a '98 cam from SS (same as Z28) ...it's a 198/209 I think but it has .500" lift too.

IMO, excluding the Z06 cams, the 2000 Y-car cam would be the best for a truck followed by the 98 Fbod cam.
2000 Silverado, RCSB, 2wd w/ a few mods.
Best 1/4 ET: 12.09@111.22 (old 5.3L H/C/N2O setup)
WRE 370 and Kenne Bell 2.8L installed and breaking trannys.
2001 Tahoe LT 4wd
Stock, daily driver and tow vehicle.
why the 2000 im curious? because of the lower lsa, cause the 98 has the 2 extra * of duration and more timing? am i reading the timing right the 98 cam has more timing? dont these new gen motors need all the timing they can get?Originally posted by BigKID@Dec 9 2003, 01:28 PM

These trucks love timing, anybody have any info on cam comparisons, that would make for some good reference material.
