I own a 2004 Yukon 5.3 with a radix supercharger. I have a shop in NY and installed it myself and tuned the truck with the Superchips flasher that it came with. Driving this truck for over a year I know this truck has more power hidden from a good tune. It feels like this truck wants more gas and a timing map to unleash some power. Does anybody have any advise for this setup. I would be willing to also change the heads and the cam if someone knows of a proven combo to make the power. Also do they make any stand alone DFI units that will work also. I have a dyno and tuning it that way would be nice. One more thing the truck is AWD is there any possible way to disconnect the front shaft to ride in a 2wd mode without freaking out the system????? This would save me on gas and produce a nice burnout. Thanks for your input in advance.

Cam: Ligenfelter GT2-3 has been proven many times. Get a custom tune from Nelson Performance to go along with it.

Get the a/f ratio set up correctly and the timing right and you're going to make as much power as the kit will allow.
As for additional power, sure, heads, cam, gears, stall converter, etc will definitely help!

I spec'd out a cam for a 6.0L swap in a 1/2 ton chevy, radix, meth, 80eswap and it dyno'd 525+rwhp, holy cow! I did the initial tuning for him, then he tweeked the tune and the result was 630+hp at the flywheel!! I didn't think the radix would do it, lol.
There is more power left in the gt cam, the only thing it has over a good aftermarket cam is lower emissions, but it still doesn't mean the more aggressive cam won't pass.
Not trying to disput you SC, the gt cam works ok , just letting him know, if he wants more power, there are strong cams out there.

keep us updated, sounds like a nice project,
allen

Thanks for the info. currently run a dynojet in my shop in Baldwin NY. What kind of editing software do you use, LS1 edit??? Also my truck is awd and my dyno is not. Is there any truth to disengaging the front shafts of truck by simply removing the shaft up front?? I tried that once on a Escalade and the truck wouldnt move a inch afterward. Something about the differntial being a viscous type that it wouldnt power up rear wheels if it didnt see a load up front. Just wanted to know I so I could use my own dyno instead of going somewhere else and paying for it. How can I get into the ecm and tune the A/F and timing without spending big $$$$.

Also how can u get a picture uploaded here Ive been trying and doesnt seem to work for me?????Any help

EFILive commerical is 549 right now and HPTuners is 649 , if you were in Texas I would let you use my EFILive and just pay for licesne (99.00) or another guy has HPTuners .
Seeing that some tuners charge 500 for a tune , 49 or 149 more gets you your own tuning software .
Now what is a tune again?

Comp Cam 54-412-11 , Int:265, 212, .522 , Exh: 271, 218, .529 , LSA 114 , Longtube , CAI (Vararam) , TransGo HD2 shift kit , tuned by me with EFILive
