Well, coming home from work tonight and had a camaro messing with me for miles. Everytime I would catch up or come to a stop light he would haul ass and then he would hit his brake lights 3 times (I guess to let me know he won). I don't screw around too much on the roads at night (never know where a cop is). But, this guy wouldn't let up. I ended up passing him through some traffic at a light, and he got behind me and when traffic cleared he pulled out from behind me and hauled ass. Before my reaction kicked in he was a little ahead of me, I gunned it but it was too late I couldn't catch up. Now I am pissed I catch him at a light and he wanted to go since he was reving his engine. I had checked to see if it was a Z28, but there were no emblems anywhere, all I knew is he had exhaust. Well the light turned green and I layed the pedal on the floor and I was pulling on him and didn't stop til I hit 80 and I was at least 1 1/2 car lengths ahead. Well after that he stayed about 2 to 3 car lengths behind me, I guess I hurt his ego . I have never messed with any camaros before, but I have heard they are pretty quick v6's. I know its not much of a kill, but I think it was pretty decent for my little 4.8.

Nice , he'll probably go home and get on the net and look for performance parts, lol.
It doesn't matter if you get beat or not, you drive a fast truck and as long as you can give them a run for their money, that's good enuff for me. It'll make them think next time.

next time you run a camaro, check to see if the roof is black from the back of the side glass ( if the car isnt black). Thats one way to tell if it is a v-6 or LS1.

That'll work on most of them, but my 98 ls1 had black sides and so did my 96 camaro, both were t-tops , that may play a part.
The 96 was a v6, it did have the road package and dual tips, whatever that package is called, that may be why,

Unfortunately this guy's car was all black, and he had what looked like borla tips. The exhaust note sounded pretty good, but I still think it was a v6, no way I could take a LS1. I felt pretty good after the kill, glad I put that guy in his place. Next time he will think twice about messing with a truck. . Thanks for the replies guys, now I can't wait to see what a good tune will do.
