    Hi,

My daily driver. What tires are the best to get that will last a little bit. I had BFG Radial T/As and they only lasted about 8 months. They break loose even at part throttle from 1st to 2nd.

I don't want to mess up the rear and have heard drag radials just don't last period. I don't do burnouts or stage, just beat the heck out of them!

So tell me which ones I should go for..... MT Indy S/S? hmm?

Thanks for ALL the feedback guys!! Oh, wait a minute..... Okay, fine! Well, I went with the Mickey Thompson Indy S/S tires. Before they went on, I pressed my thumnail into the tread of a tire beside them and could see no thumbnail impression. I did the same with the M/Ts - could still the impression of the thumnail.....gotta love it.

The M/Ts I went with were L60-15s. Maybe after I can get the Efans on the truck I can take this thing back out to Ennis and see where I'm at compared to the pathetic 14.6 I ran last time...grr

Of course, watch me bust the rearend on the truck first - lol

Your right, I shouldn't talk like that Its okay for now. I noticed right after I got the conversion done and replaced the bald tires on it (I replaced those with the BFG Radial T/As) that the rear seal on the diff started to leak. Gotta admit, it made me kinda ...

I'm looking at slowly doing the next few mods:

Efans - gonna move the 15" Spaul I currently have on the radiator to the front of the radiator in a push config) - remove the clutch fan I have on the truck right now.

Do a cold air intake .. well kinda. I'm thinking about getting a Corvette Vararam setup and flipping it upside down so the intake tubs site just on top of the radiator/fan shroud and just below the hood. Of course will have to do some fab work.

Driveshaft - have heard from ACPT they can do a 1-piece D/S conversion for my truck (carbon fiber baby!&#33 but don't know the price. P.S. - I know you guys are thinking - agghhh, carbon fiber on an extended cab??? But if you go to their site, they show doing a garbage truck 1-piece. Mine should be no harder on it than that!! If its too much, then I've already got emails to a few different sites asking if they can do aluminum 2-piece D/S.

Hood - found a carbon fiber hood (don't worry, I'll paint it - no rice on this truck LOL) for $400 - new

    Body/work and paint.

So those are the plans - what do you think?

sounds to me like you are getting serious with it! I bet the drive shaft will set you back a few if you go with the CF?

i like the hood and the driveshaft idea. that lighter hood is going to take some of that weight off the front.
