your tbi computer will not be able to be programed for a lot of big mods. The stock computer has limitations to it that keeps it from accepting big cams, really large displacements, and high flowing heads. If your gonna keep the stock engine in it then carb it or 6.0 swap it cause your gonna waste more money trying to go fast with tbi than you will to go just as fast with a 6.0. the 160 t stat never helped me much except make the heater not as efficient, if you get headers get full length headers cause the shorties dont make but a tiny bit of a difference, just better throttle response, dont buy the holley unit just get a bored 454 tb and 9c1 police car injectors, injector tower spacer, and adjustable fuel pressure regulator and set fp at 14psi. put a shift kit in the tranny and be done. all this will probably net you a whopping 250 hp at best, dont be fooled by claims of high hp tbi cause it doesnt work, tbi does what tbi was designed for...dependability. I hate to bust your bubble like that but im not the only one who learned the hard way

yeah i dont expect phenominal numbers just get me by till the big block gets done, i checked out cfm's web site and they seems to have some good stuff, i have been told the 454 tbi and injectors are just too big and a pain in the ass to get to run right.
