Finally got sythetic in. I can't tell a huge diference, it seems to run a little quieter. The mechanic suggested Mobil 1 sythetics. So thats what I got. Just letting yall know!

You may not be able to tell. But your engine definately will. Mobil 1, Royal Purple, and Amsoil are the top three, i feel that are the best synthetics to run in an engine.![]()

yeah, ive heard GREAT things about all of them, AMSOIL is the route im gonna go, although i dont think mobil is a bad choice either. royal purple doesnt last as long from what ive heard, not that id go to the limit, but makes me think maybe it isnt quite as good.
they are damn good oils...i have used each one of em and are all the same....

Royal Purple is what im running, ive heard it was the best plus i can get it for $3/quart, but like they said mobil, ams are good too

I run mobil 1 in my truck. I just switched to AMSOIL in my harley and I can tell a big difference. It runs quiter and cooler. I think I may switch to it in my truck soon.

its funny. i was thinking about this same thing yesterday. my truck is approaching the 36,00 mile mark soon. after that i plan on syn oils too.
I was told the syns are a bit "thinner than the reg oils. Therefore, shoudn't it be not as quiet? I would think a thicker oil would reduce the valvetrain noise. Gues it all depends on the w rating .
