I wont deny the past 5 years have sucked. From the loss of Slocum to gaining franchione. This year in my opinion should be a strong year. We have a quaterback that it not afraid to get hit. I reference the game last year when mcgee got pounded by the Texas defense and then got back up quickly went into the huddle and then in the very next play ran the ball in for the touch down. Hey jethro i can understand how you may not see the point in our rivalry toward Texas. If you grew up here and you knew the whole history behind A&M and Texas then you might understand how we are concerned about that one game of the year. My opinion is shared among many Aggies. Every year we look forward to the A&M vs. Texas game. Yes we would like to be National champions but one thing that we all root for every year is to beat the hell out of Texas. During that game all bets are off, all statistics are thrown out the window becuase no book or computer stats will tell you the outcome of a rivalry game. Unless you went to A&M or Texas or your family went to A&M or Texas then it is hard for anyone to understand why it is that it is.

Well I just got my internet back up and this was the first place I came to. I knew there would be some cheers for a Texas loss. Thank God I didnt place bets with anybody.....Did I? Ive never seen such poor defensive coverage in one game..geez dont get me started!! Looks like Im outnumbered here being a Texas fan. I have a step brother and sister that both graduated from A&M, and also a brother-in-law who just graduated from there also. Its a little tough, but fun nevertheless.

Shwarmy, I live with a Horn graduate....... It is nice to see that you will atleast talk some reality not just smack all year. Yes it is nice to have a rivalry.... But have the rivalry somewhere near that date

Texas deserved that whoopin'. Poor play for sure. Nevertheless, Ohio is awesome. I see them going very far this year. A & M on the other hand, no. Being a UT grad, I just can't make myself admit they may have a good team, even if it's true.

Get this...I've been out getting my wisdom teeth pulled. Talk about suck.

never said the aggies were good or are going to be good, but im glad to see someone knock texas off their pedestal. as GREAt as they were USC had a dynasty for 3 years not many people could match. i remember there being talk of USC versus an NFL team who would win, and to be honest the 2005 trojans could have beaten 5-7 NFL teams.
