I notice when I have my truck in Tow/Haul mode that it shifts a lot higher, stays in the powerband longer. If you happen to race with tow/haul on, would it make you a little quicker? Just a thought guys, let me know what ya'll think. Thanks

I can't remember How my original T/H was programed, but it was with a little more presure a better feelings on the shifts.
When I race Stock, I always raced in 3rd and T/H on, best results always.

Now That I have a Cal, My off T/H is just as stock as possible with my 3500 stall Conv, and T/H on is as brutal as the Tranny can handle with out ripping appart. Now that's a huge difference!!!

Hmm... So with me being basically stock it would be quicker with t/h on and in 3rd gear right?

Worked for me all the time!!!!

Know, the 4x4 on 4wd was a quiky launch, but the 2wd always had that nice evolution across the gears...

Well mine is AWD, so I always have that quick launch.

well allen and I did a test to see if the line pressure was increased with the t/h on, didn't change a bit on the line pressure, now at wot 1-2 shift would shift out at 5200 instead of 5800, 2-3 shift it shifted out at 5200 with or without t/h on.

the t/h is made for part throttle with a load and will hold 1st and 2nd 500 more rpms, it is designed to hold the shfts longer to help with the load.

with my built trans and my shift points at 6800 without the t/h on and with the t/h on it will shift out at 6000 rpms.

give it a try and see how it does, my old 4.8 ran better with the t/h on when it was stock but after the tune it ran slower time.
