I just ordered some new toyo's for the truck
front: 255/55/18
rear: 285/50/18
I don't know anything about the tires, but got a good deal on them. I'm hoping that the larger rear will help me hook up a little better.

No more trucks, but this is what I used to have. 2000 GMC Sierra, 6.0L-LQ4, Built 4L60, LS6 Cam, The Other Guys Headers, 3 inch exhaust and 7 chamber flowmaster, 43lb injectors, Nelson Tuning, Drop - 3/4 McGaughys Spindles, Bell Tech Shackles & Hangers. Best time 13.59 @ 106
Holy shit...HE'S BAAACKK!!
Good to hear the lake didn't swallow you yet.
Why didn't you go with the 305/50's? They hooked preetty well for you I'd say.
Gone, but not forgotten!

[/b]how you been ross? how much did those toyo's run for all four? if you can get some pics up from like a side angle. id like to see the stance/look of the truck with the smaller on the front and larger on the rear.

iev always heard good things bout the toyo s/t's.... never had any personal experience but alot of people i used to run around with had 20's and 22's and what not..... they all had the toyo's
sprayedenali: i like catching, but not fishing
DBTBSS: bring Tyler... we need someone to make fun of
MidnightRider: your right im gay
DamnYankee: my nana failed
DamnYankee: confused...if it can't keep up to begin with, how can it keep up
mitch cobb racing: ya, allen played with it for a while, HUGE difference
when they are new, they hook pretty good. they wear down fast and once the tread gets about 1/2 way down they get flat out scarry in the rain. also, after you lose about 1/2 tread all traction goes out the window. i went to nitto 404's as a second set of tires and wont go back to the proxies. maybe im just a 1 case deal though. everyone else praises them...i feel like i just fell into the "toyo proxy hype". the 404's are a better tire IMO.

Mine have been pretty good to me. I have actually gotten my best 60' with them. I have done many burnouts with them and I'm pleasantly suprised with their wear. I would buy them again in a heartbeat.

I've had my Toyo's for a little over a year, and I've put about 10k miles on them. They look new, and perform very well. I'm running the 305/45-22's. Good luck with the traction. In 2wd, it doesn't take much to light em up.![]()
thats my experience with the toyos after a few miles, and thats exactly what we dont want. if i could keep the power and never be able to peel out ever again i would be sooooo happy. loss of traction=slower times, and it will be sooner to buy expensive tires.Good luck with the traction. In 2wd, it doesn't take much to light em up. [/b]
