Squealing brakes

Brakes were making a racket squealing and grinding.

Spent morning replacing front pads and rotors and it is still squealing like a banshee.

When I took the old ones off there was still plenty of meat on the pads, it had NOT gotten
down to the squeal tabs and I could not find any uneven wear on pads or rotors and no gouged
out spot on either rotor.

The pads dont seem to move real loose in their guides on the bracket is only thing I can think.

But I tried sanding out the slots on the pads and putting a little anti-seize in them and it seemed to help.


What else makes brakes squeal ???

They are next, but sure does sound like its the front.
Roll down the window and it sounds more in front then behind me.

How loose should those pads slide on the little tabs on the caliper bracket.

Real loose or just kinda loose ?
