Finally had my first kill tonight. Too bad it was an 06 Silverado. LOL I was at the light minding my own buisiness jamming to AC/DC and I hear this engine revving up and this dude looking over at me grinning. We took off and he gunned it pretty hard so I slammed it to the floor passing him like he was standing still. I slow down and let him pass me up and then I see his brake lights come on and he's revving his engine again waiving me on. He's got about 3 car lengths on me and we hit it again. I pass him up with no problems and he's looking at me like something is wrong with his truck. He pulls into the gas station and I decide to meet him on the other side. He says what you got in that thing and I popped the hood and boy he was suprised. LOL He said he just purchased the truck and had a POS dodge before. The truck was really nice looking (stock) and I told him to come over here and visit us on LS1Truck. Hopefully he'll come by. That was fun but I wish it had been a Mustang or Lightning I spanked. He said I thought that truck was stock. LMAO From the feel of this thing I hope to be in the low 13's, you know where the nitrous is gonna put me if that hangs. Just thought I'd share this with you guys since I don't street race.

Oh, I also got to see how fast this baby runs on the highway. My speedo was pegged but I'm guessing in the 130 range. With the truck lowered and the low pro's, the truck doesn't even feel like it's going over 100mph. I didn't think to log my speed in HPTuners. Will it log past the speedo if the speedo only goes to 100 mph?

Yes it will log as long as the vss can read your speed! Man I raced my buddy's 94 muffstain GT today from a roll at 60. We were dead even at 100 so we let off saying we were in a 55 lol.

Glad to hear you got that beast running strong, wait till you get her tuned up!

Absolutely wonderful story. I love it when we lay the lumber to some guy who is like ???? This morning I pulled up to a light and the truck is just absolutely rumbling (hadn't been driven since I got off work on Friday).

Anyway, over at the Tune&Lube store I see these two guys by their red Dodge truck and one of them is just staring at the truck. I mean, this thing doesn't look intimidating and in fact looks like an old beater...lol.

I wasn't gunning it or anything, in fact, I'd just coasted up to the light..foot not even on the accelerator for the past three blocks. He's just lookin'. The light turns green and I "wake her up", the wheels break loose from 1/2 shift hard and I see them in my mirror just slackjawed - it was great!!!

Oh.....good first kill and don't worry about it being a Chevy - he started it!!
