Thread: TCI converter sucks...dying part

    Looking for 2800-3000 stall QUALITY converter (not TCI). Mines making a horrid noise and believe it was my problem at the track friday.

    Anybody have one or know where the best prices are?
    2013 2wd Z71 6.2 crew cab

    Old Truck: '04 Chevy crew cab stroked/bored 6.0 to 408ci. forged internals, patriot 68cc stage 3 heads (11.1:1cr), comp 244/246 .600 115lsa cam, 3000 yank tc, built 4L60E, walbro 255, 60# mototron injectors, pacesetter lt's 4" single no-cat exhaust

    best time 12.93 1/4 mi @ 103 in the turbo truck.

    well, you know you get what you pay for so since your tired of problems i'd get a good verter like a vigilante. Some guys on here are running yank also. Mine is a triple disc model and i tow regulary no problems, but it was 950$.

    The YANK site has the truck thruster 3000 for $475.00. It sounds too cheap.

    I bought a YANK for mine, but it is the HD2600 for the 4L80e. I have not put it in yet, but I have friends that have not had any problems with them. I think this is the stall Allen referred to me last time. I paid 875.00 for mine, b/c of the 4L80E.
