you have no respect for me because i dont like the mavs? brilliant. calm down, its not the end of the world.

i know how much people cared about the spurs making it, but they didnt, so ill move on. but i know how much they care about there 3 championships.

here's the deal read my previous posts and notice i said i respect the spurs, so it's not the fact u dont like the mavs that loses my respect, its the fact u cant respect the team that beat ur team. see cuz i respect the heat, but u cant say anything good about the mavs. i know right 3 championships is great. maybe one day soon san antonio will get a football team(haha maybe the saints). we got one that's got 5 rings and a hockey team with a championship. ya'll have an aging tim duncan and a riverwalk. in other news tho ya'll do get the cowboys next year...for training camp!!!

lets see.

a.)never said i didnt respect the mavs. im bitter because they beat the spurs. im sure your bitter because the heat beat the mavs. thats how sports are, a team beats the team you love, and you dont like that. its all a friendly game of basketball.
b.) i can say plenty good about the mavs. they are a young and talented team that won the western conference.
c.)dude the cowboys are a great team, and im a fan, but whens the last time they have actually done anything worth talking about. so its not actually an insult to say "we have the cowboys" because we were both kids when they won there superbowls.
d.)i really dont know why your making this into a big deal. i know your upset that mavs lost. get over it. i got over it when the spurs lost. its basketball, itll be here next year.
e.) just calm down we are all nice friendly people on this board. theres no reason to start an uproar, because im bitter towards a basketball team

Refering to C.... the part that says "whens the last time they have actually done anything worth talking about" Last season wasnt worth talking about?? How can a team on the verge of the playoffs not be worth talking about? Also, them not doing anything.... Do you know how much media coverage they got when the signed T.O.? Im sure that wasnt worth talking about either was it? Think before you blow off steam. And I agree, the spurs are washed up and old. Half their team is aging, horribly. So you might as well get used to the Mavs winning the west, unless the spurs make some drastic changes to their lineup.

im really not trying to start an arguement with any of this. i said one thing, and it exploded and basically words were put in my mouth. you guys need to calm down, the mavs season is over, just like the spurs season. its over. the mavs are going to make a good run next year, just like the spurs will and the pistons, and the heat, and the suns.

when i meant doing something worth talking about, allstar brought up the fact that the cowboys had 5 rings... back in the 90's. im glad they got t.o. im glad they are getting better then they once was. but i thought we were talking about basketball? its just like how cuban made fun of the riverwalk after we came back and tied it at 3 games a piece. does he really have to say something so childish that has nothing to do with basketball, just to try and retaliate when the spurs come back from a 3-1 devicit. if we are going to have a DISCUSSION, not an arguement, about basketball. stick to basketball.

tim duncan- 30 years old
brent barry-35 years old
bruce bowen - 35 years old
michael finley- 33 years old
ginobili-29 years old
tony parker - 24 years old

mavericks:
erick dampier- 31 years old
devin harris - 23 years old
Josh howard - 26 years old
dirk - 28 years old
jerry stackhouse - 32 years old
jason terry - 29 years old

so yeah the spurs are a few years older, but if they can bring the mavericks to a game 7, just imagine when they get some younger faces, what they will be able to do. the mavericks are going to be good next year, i know this, everyone knows this. but so are alot of other teams.

First of all Dampier is out Diop is in (24 yrs) you forgot daniels(25 yrs), who, when healthy, will have a major impact... It just gets on my nerves when people dont recognize stuff. You didnt even give dallas credit for beating the Spurs... whats up with that? NEway end of convo untill allstar signs back on. I know he'll put in his 2 cents.

SCIV u dont understand sports is my life man and if someone attacked something u love, maybe like ur truck, ur gonna defend it. the fact of the matter is the spurs will be just good enough not to draft any good players for the next 3-5 years and when tim duncan retires they will suck. what they should have done was kept malik rose a few years ago. instead they have all these role players, and no true helper to tim duncan. most everyone agrees dirk's a superstar, then add howard (emerging as a huge star), terry who we will re-sign, harris(who is clutch if u didnt notice), and Diop(fits perfect with their new team scheme) and what u have is a young talented lineup that can only get better. i respect the spurs as much as anyone but sadly their reign is over ... OVER and yeah the suns may win it all next year, but at least it wont be the spurs. u see every great team has its time maybe a 5 year window of opportunity where they r good, but history shows (ie cowboys of the 90's) the better the team is the longer it takes to rebuild, because lack of early round draft picks when they flutter along for years just making the playoffs while being no threat to contend. im a genius i win u lose CHECK MATE!

I understand completely. What I also understand is there is no point in arguing the PAST, becasue it is HISTORY and you cannot change it. Pointless to me.

Argue over next season. I will reserve judement on the genuis comment, since I have never met you or battled wits.

ok allstar. your right, im wrong. end of discussion. theres no sense in everyone disliking and not respecting each other because they dont like the same team. i could keep continuing with this, but sc's right, its the past. no texas team prevailed. just have to wait until next year.
