Got the engine/trans and transfer case dropped in last weekend. Wiring harness came today and I have most of It hooked up now. Im running the stock 1995 241 transfer case. Does anyone know the best way to hook up the vss on this to the ls wiring? Do I just need to splice the old plug onto the new harness?
I have a 95 model K1500 that I am wanting to do this swap on.. is yours floor shift or push button?

so did your original transfer case from your 95 model truck bolt up to the 2001 transmission?? also is your truck a push button or floor shift 4 wheel drive?? I am wanting to do the same swap on my 95 model this year ,, just trying to figure out if there will be anything different about the 4x4 part

is the port on the radiator cap side near the top? I used that port on a swap on my 94 model 2 wheel drive truck for the steam line and have had no issuesOriginally Posted by Hulknasty
Thanks man! the 95 had a 241 floor shift case. Yes it bolted right to the 01 60e trans no issue. As for the steam line thats exactly what I did. It appears to be working.
thanks for the reply,,, everything as far as the trans shifter and 4x4 stuff stayed the same with no other mods??
im using the 1995 linkages without issue. only thing I changed was I had to tap into the original vss plug since the 2001 had a different style
Ive done 2 of these swaps in 2 wheel drive trucks,,, Ive not had much dealings with 4x4 trans and t case....sounds like it should not be too bad.... thanks again for the info... you'll love the newer engine... 88-98 obs is one of the best looking body style GM produced in my opinion
