That filter/regulator combo is routinely referred to as the Corvette filter/regulator. If you look around this site a little, you will find a list of filter manufacturers and their part numbers for that unit. I believe it was RedHeartbeat has posted some good info about it.

Yea, I found a decent priced one through rock auto so I got that on order. I think that's the last actual piece I need to get my swap up and running. Now if I could just NOT be stuck in the desert (thanks army), I could finish my swap!

The info on the corvette filter for the return less fuel system is on post #2 of the OBS to LSX swap thread. Here's a link in case you haven't read it. But I really hope you have, it has lots of great info in it.

Towards the end, I posted essentially all the links I found useful for the engine swap, heads/cam swap, NNBS intake swap, and A/C stuff. Here's a link to that specific post.

I think I just got lost in a sea of links! Haha! My searches are usually pretty specific and that fuel line situation had me stumped for a minute. It seems it would've been pretty easy to hook up an older engine with return style fuel lines. But now I wonder if I have to cut into my existing lines to hook up the corvette filter. It's not such a big deal if I plan on keeping that intake and fuel rail system stock but if I want to add a F.A.ST. intake and fuel rails down the road (which I do), than I'll have to add fuel lines again. This swap has been a real expensive p.i.t.a., I really hope the added power is worth all the trouble.

Yeah, there's so much information that it can be overwhelming. If you want to go to a return setup later down the road it would be easier to leave your stock return line and just put the corvette filter on your intake. Give me sec I'll find a picture of that.

Ok I found a few pictures of the corvette filter/regulator mounted on the intake here is one:

    Here's another with more pictures:

So you could do that and then the lines would still be in the engine bay for when you go back to a return style.

At long last....we have a startup!! Kind of surprised me actually cuz I was only wanting to check my connections and verify that I had fuel pressure and other things. I haven't gotten my exhaust setup yet so I'm currently running straight headers, which is part of the reason it startled when she roared to life LOL!! I had a couple dead cyls at first but that was an easy fix because there were a couple pink ign+ wires that were missed labeled on the diagram I had, so once I traced them down, it was a no brainer and then I had fire on all 8! I was surprised at how well the engine went through its cold start up procedure and slowly settled down to its normal idle speed considering I haven't done any secondary tuning of any kind, which means Nelson Performance must have done an awesome job with the initial ECM flash. I'm still trying to figure how to get my gauges hooked up because I can't find where the temp and oil pressure senders go in through the firewall. Anybody know what I'm missing? And anybody have an idea about the exhaust situation for long tubes headers with 4WD? Any help or pics are always appreciated!

Well the first test drive is out of the way with the completed exhaust installed and I was pretty satisfied with the results. But I still have a few bugs to work out (naturally) so here goes....I found the right diagrams for the wiring for my gauges but I can't seem to them to work. The temp works fairly well, but all the others I can't seem to get working. I've read info about using a resistor for the tach but does that apply to my particular year? And where do I get the signal for my oil pressure gauge, the sensor, or the ECM? If there was a complete write up on gauges that someone could link me to, that would be great!

Ok so temp and oil pressure you can use your old sensors. I got this adapter from speedway motors for the oil pressure and reused the old sender. For the temp, I rethreaded a stock 95 sensor so it would fit in the head M12x1.5 IIRC. Tach, white wire from PCM goes to white wire in cluster connector. Speed, dark green wire from new PCM goes to dark green wire going to cluster (there may be 2). Voltage just worked since I didn't touch the wiring for that. Fuel should also work as before.
