I built mine as well. I also did dual 3" with an H pipe using mandrel bends. Its 14" x 4" x 9" Magnaflows, I have turndowns on it as of now but they are not pictured. Here's a few pics.

I had turn downs right off the muffler for a while and I think it sounded better but was just to loud at 5am. My neighbors probably hate me enough as it is.

Ran out the back like in the picture I believe it is in the second post would be clean! Even if it's single 3". I've ran it in front of the tire on multiple setups and the only would that didn't sound flappy was my 3.5" 5x11x22" magnaflow setup I had on my crew cab. Others had any annoying flow master sounding flap in it. I'll post videos with details on the entire exhaust.
5.3 220/224 .53x on 112 cam, longtubes, ORY, 3.5" pipe from ypipe back. 3.5" shootout pro spintech turned out in front of the tire but not visible.
