I picked up the 5.3 a year ago it came out of an 05 Tahoe. Here are some pics of engine prep.

Bought engine for $600 from reliable seller. Took off heads and sent "TEA". some minor clean up.

Existing 5.7. Rebuilt 3 1/2 years ago (long Block rebuilt by others). Valve seal failed and other minor issues. Truck has been smoking bad at each stop for over a year now. Done w/ putting more money into that set up.
