Cam sensor

Anybody ever have a cam sensor issue? If so what problems did it cause

misfires, long cranking, loss of power, truck will run but has no balls, im going thru a cmp issue right now.

we've had a lot of trucks come thru with a cam sensor or wiring issue; non of them had loss of power.
the engine will run fine with no cam sensor; just hard starts; all the times we've seen.
they all had random extended crank; some start up fine randomly.

a code almost always sets; low ref, hi signal, cam performance etc.

it sets the low and high, truck has no power, clearthe code all the power in the world til it trips again which is pretty much anything over 4k lol

what have you done so far, in attempt to fix it?

found a bad spot in the wire replaced it with a new plug and new sensor, this weekend im gonna chack the pcm terminals also, gonna strip it down to a stand alone, i think it is either wore out at the pcm, or there is trash in the cmp hole. i do know my patience is wearing thin lol, the MAF still leans it way out when plugged in, i need an SD like no otther.
