If that's gonna be the only vent, i would consider a tiny non filter on top of can, catch can.
so it'll catch any residue going thru the hose.
something like those little water separators for a compressor.

i would install a baffler or mesh screen unless you have issues. a fresh engine shouldn't be pushing oil.

vent to the intake tube is good, it'll suck it out, and you won't smell gas fumes in the cab.
