2002 DBC or 2007 DBW??

40hp from a pedal??? lol i highly doubt that... im pretty sure there is no diff in power. its just a gas pedal. they both open the TB except one is electronic and the other is mechanical. maybe better mpg but not a lot. a benefit is cruise control built in vs having the second modle and cable.

wowo... i dont think i will get 40hp from a pedal... GM rates their 2007 5.3L at 320HP.
they rate the 2002 5.3L at 280hp.

I was going to do the 2002 motor to not have to deal with mounting the DBW pedal and tac module, but i think it is worth it to have the motor with more power...

if you do more research, you will find its more than a pedal.

2007 nbs doesn't use a tac, all that stuff is in the ecm.

2007 classic does have a tac.

Depends on which one you're referring to.

The high output 5.3L is a nice option. I'd go for that. Might as well start off with a stronger foundation and good heads.
There is no choice, just do the stronger one. Aint nothing wrong with dbw.

oh I see what your saying now. Haha! Yeah man, go with the high output motor if it's only that much more. in installed dbw in mine and it was really no big deal. I like it. plus don't you want a HO motor for your 2dr hoe??? perfect match!

Farmtruc .... as far as the ECU and such.. If i go with a 2007 NNBS 5.3L then Im guessing I have to run an ECU out of an NNBS to get the pedal signal read from the ECU correct?

Also If i go with a 2007 Classic 5.3L can I get an ECU and Pedal/Tac assembly from any year 03 and up?
