man that's good time for the modds, I would get headers before the cam, because your motor won't be able to push out that extra air as well on the stock manifolds

What gears are you running? I agree with canada4g63, I'd get some long tube headers as my next mod.

It's usually awesome to have LTs with any cam however I have seen plenty of guys pick up over 50rwhp from a cam with stock manifolds.

waiting to go in... 3.90s, 214/220cam
there are quite a few guys running 220/220 cams in the older 5.3s making good power and they sound awesome but that maybe a little wilder than what you want, i know the stock ls6 cam pushrods and valve springs will fit a 5.3 and are making good power and the price on them isnt that bad either
there is a wild 220r cam? there days small cams are killing that cam and huge cams are making better power than ever... that cam honestly is so like 6 yrs ago. custom grind all the way... itll be built for your truck and how you want it to perform!
Long time since ive been here, want to say thanks to Nelson Performance for the bad ass E85 tune in my truck and DriveShaft specialist for there monster driveshaft cant wait for the next truck shoot out here in San Antonio or the RGV. highly rec these guys
I put a comp 222/224 in my buddy's 65 p/u with a 5.3/4L60E/3.73, works really good
