So you know im not braggin on beating him, i never raced one, so i dont know how they run. I dont run around talkin bout what im gonna do or not to my truck. I have a NOS kit sitting here im prob never going to put on my truck, i drive it everyday. If your bord go bash your truck. I never claimed mine was fast, hell its almost 7000lbs. It did run a 17sec 1/4 in evadale when i got it 4 years ago. Its ok for what it is it can take a titan but not nuff to brag bout. My truck is a truck. Nothing less nothing more.

And far from 7000 lbs unless you have 2k lbs worth of junk in the bed of your truck. That's a fact! Your thinking load capacity not the trucks actual weight. Your right there up with the tbss. They are huge bricks!
2500s curb weight is 5500lbs that's 14 bolt and all!
And as far as my truck it's slow lol didnt claim it's fast but red truck and Saab both were quick and never felt the need to waste my gas on a 4door on stock alloys.

Dam come on guys he wasn't running his mouth about out running a tbss, just stating his experience. I don't see the need for the pissing contest or why any should be upset over this?
To the OP...whether is was a fluke or not, at least you tried and had fun doin it. That's all that matters. The only thing around here for me to race is rice burners
Come on now I know for a fact tbss guys got bigger fish to fry then stock trucks, crew cabs at that. Maybe they have changed their goals in two yrs since I sold the Saab.
The tbss guy may have just been playing around, who knows. I would have tried to jump on something faster than me in a heartbeat just like Bootlife did, just for the thrill of the race. I don't have to win to get my rocks off
I just offered the race to see what is up. The TBSS is a fat pig and def not the fastest thing on the road. I've lost before and not trying to prove anything. Let's make some runs and see what happens. Like I said it is all stock no mods tune weight reduction anything. Let's have fun at SAR for the shootout.
