Factory mud guard problems

Has anyone had issues with their factory mud guards on a silverado or Sierra? I've read a few places that the molded guards have rubbed the paint away on the fenders. I'd prefer not to get these put on, but I also hate the sounds of rocks pinging off the side of my truck.

Havnt had that issue, I took mine off an 01 and the only marks was where the truck was washed and under the gard wasn't, paint was a diff shade red tho lol, but on mine no issues yet they been on 2 or 3 years now

I really haven't heard of it happening to the older silverados. Mainly the 07-13 NNBS.

Well, got the factory molded mud guards installed today. Guess I'll keep my fingers crossed that they don't damage the paint on the fenders.
