Got one problem. On my airfilter housing box, theres a vehicle emissions info label there. The problem is that it shows its for an 2004, my engine and ecu are 2003. That may cause a problem with the ref, maybe. Not sure. Anyway, the dealer doesn't sell that label, got to buy the whole damn thing (airfilter box). Is there someplace to buy this label?

Got the label I needed. There was confusion on my part at the dealer. Anyway, hooked a scan tool to the ecu port, and I don't have any alarm codes. The only problem is now that 2 monitoring systems need to run their course. They are the oxygen sensor and the evap. They both blink on my scanner indicating that they have to run their course. Read in the manual what I need to do. Its a process of starting the engine when its cold, letting it idle, then drive it at 45 till it gets to temp. Then let it sit for an hour then check. The thing is, I driven the truck a few times at those speeds, so I don't know. Do I got to drive it some more to go through these tests? ? I did use heater hose and small radiator clamps to secure the hose to the evap solenoid and charcoal canister. Would it really matter if I didn't use a special quick connect to the charcoal canister??

Got a question. When I'm driving the truck at 65mph., the rpm is 2300. The rear axle ratio is a stock 3.42. The tires are 255/55R17. Does the rpm sound right on for this or is it too
high?

yeah since you have bigger rims on there it may have changed the accuracy of your speedo depending how much taller your tire is but i wouldnt think much since they are not all that much bigger than stock. the rpm sounds about right tho. RPM is just what it is depending on gears and tires. your speedo is what is going to drastically change. if your still using your drac box for speedo signal, then read my post about how to adjust it in my thread http://www.ls1truck.com/forums/showt...693#post513693 if your using the pcm to control it, then you just need to have it tuned for your setup.

here is a pic of my dash on my scanner (which you now have also) while i was on the freeway. Its blurry but if you look close it says im going about 64mp and my rpm is at 2240. but i have different wheel/tire gears than you. but since you have the same software as i, just go for a drive and watch it and compare it to your speedo and tach if you have one. the software is dead on. i compared it to gps to verify.
