97 c1500 cruise cable

i just tried mine but even at the very end where it still is able to lock it holds the throttle plate open a little and doesnt rest on the set screw

Just went out and took a look at mine and it also is not sitting on the set screw. Looks like Ill be hitting the salvage yard to get a throttle and cruise cable from a 2001 truck or suburban.

I literally raped the '99 Silverado 2500 for everything I needed for the swap. Engine, PCM, harness, coolant bottle, etc. Right down to the exhaust system and cruise control. Vortec and TBI injected traditional small blocks have shorter cables due to the cable running to the center of the engine, not to the front like the LS Vortec engines.
