01 4.8 into a 03 v6 truck

Hey all. Is it possible to swap a 2001 4.8 into a 2003 v6 silverado. Are the fuse boxes going to work? I know the 03+ have electronic throttles but my buddy wants to go cable

is he set on going cable? you can repin the fuse box.
but as stated the dbw is easier
