shifter problem on 1998 Tahoe swap

Anyone that has done the swap on a truck with cable shifter ran into any problems?? I have a brand new cable from advance auto,, The shifting is stiff and if I pull the shifter all the way down to 1st gear and come back up into park I run into a snag, have to shut the engine off , crawl under and manually put the trans back into park....
I used dirty dingo mounts and had to notch the crossmember on the trans so that the mount would go into it ,, looks like my trans is a inch forward more than it originally was, I am using a 4l60 trans from a 02 silverado as well....

what transmission did you have before? i went from 4l60 to a 4l80 and all i did was use the old 4l60e shifter bracket and kinda bend it how i needed to make it go into park. other then that it seems to work fine. my truck was a 97 with dirty dingo mounts as well

The tahoe had the vortec 350 and stock 4l60 trans,,, I re used the cable bracket from the trans that came out of the tahoe on the one from the 02 silverado.. I've not had alot of time to look at it but was curious if anyone else had ran into any troubles like I am experiencing
