    Cam and Piston selection help

I have a 97 all aluminium 5.7 it has 806 heads which i plan on do some work to. I have a calies ap031r-cl crank 4" stroke and compstar 6.125 rods I'm trying stay at 10.5 to 11:1 compression. Trying to build a reliable but fun street motor for my truck. I have a th400 with a 3200-3500 stall and still have bring it to emmissions. I just could use a little help with piston and cam selection

What are the plans for cubic inch?
Keeping it pretty close to stock with about 10.5 cr and a light cam will make it a fun truck
A 383 or close wont use much fuel. A cam with a wide split and wide lsa is typical of an emissions cam.
Lots of variables. Just posting up some ideas.

I was told with the block that I have I can't go much larger than a 383. And I preaty sure that I don't have to worrie to much about emmissions cuz my truck did have a bbc tbi. It just that there r so many selections just not to sure what would be my best application for my build

Correct, 383 is as large as you can go.
