It's as serious threat as someone with a gun in your face. Of course that someone is retarded toddler, the gun is a water pistol. But the threat is there!

Individuals who are doing this are creating a high demand by taking 100% of the supply off the shelves. You might be making a dollar but you are putting your fellow man through hell to get it.

Do you know what my number one concern with this is? There are kids out there that want nothing more than to go plink with a .22 and their fathers cannot get the ammo to make it happen. I don't know what things are like where you are from, but where I'm from kids going out and plinking is part of growing up. Squirrel and rabbit hunting are a part of life for kids here. I hate that this generation is going to miss out on some of the greatest moments in their lives.

Like I said. I have zero respect for these people and just as little respect for someone who thinks what they are doing is okay.
Believe me where I come from shooting is just as important as anywhere and I hate that a lot of idiots are making this situation worse. However, I don't see a difference between this and scalpers at a baseball game or any other event for that matter. I agree that its unfortunate that this is Affecting all of us, but worse than the people selling stuff at these rediculous prices are those who are buying. They are the ones creating the demand. If people weren't paying stupid money it wouldn't exist. It's the same problem we have in any industry. As long as we continue to pay high prices for anything whether it be gas, ammo, event tickets, or housing, the demand is still there and someone will be there to make a dollar. It's economics 101 Adam smith's invisible hand. We as consumers are just as much at fault as those benefiting from the situation.

went to walmart the other day and they had no ammo at all except shotgun ammo, guy said people are camping out when the ammo comes in to buy it up, Academy has a limit of one box of ammo per caliber per customer per day with a max of three boxes total for any 3 calibers. This is in the Austin area

Yeah problem with this policy is at many locations employees are violating this rule for friends, family, coworkers, etc. Been pretty annoying to see the problem made worse time and time again. I am hoping the idiots get stocked up and the ridiculousness can end. Obama is defiantly salesmen of the year for all these businesses. I can't imagine Americans have been more well armed in the last 25 years.

The difference between this and scalpers at a baseball game is scalpers arent playing on fear to make a sale.
