Mickey, I had alot of questions for my swap so I wanted to be as informative as I could for the next guy..kind of a pass it on type deal. All the info is here but got to jump through several threads to find everything. Hoping to make it pretty cut and dry for a 1998 swap person.

I hear ya. If you have any questions, just ask. I did something similar and had lots of questions myself.

in re gurads to the lpp headers: i have them on my truck and i love them i live in WI where winters are very harsh and salt eats everything alive and these headers have stood up to the test as to where my buddies silvy with pacesetter armor coating are already starting to rust after one winter.

    More goodies...
EBAY cold air intake ($60), fitted with MAF supplied with motor purchase. 0411 PCM programmed EBAY ($125 shipped no core) plug wires ($48 shipped) NGK TR55's ($20 shipped)
Measured OHMs one new wires 230 OHMs, works for me.

Drive by wire pedal, wiring harness, and TAC module, caame with motor purchase. Thank goodness the salvage yard let me get the wiring, spent a good hour fishing it out of the stock dash harness but worth having complete.

got in a bunch of little bolts, gaskets etc.

Just ordered some 07-11 LPP stainless headers..experiment to see if they fit, they were only $450 shipped and two new bosch O2 sensors $35 shipped each. Then some stock motor mounts and stock trans mount $30 shipped from RockAuto.com . Then a Lextech AC bracket kit. $250 shipped.

Then noticing my stock NP8 transfer case is leaking like crazy now on a long trip...sigh..lol
