    4L80E swap spacer/flexplate question

I've read most of the swap threads and stickies and such, I pretty much only have one question at this point..

I'm putting a 2003 5.3 into my 94 C1500. The truck I got my donor from was a 5.3/4L60E/4x4 combo, I got it all, but I sold the 4L60E and Transfer case and I'm shopping for a 4L80E to put in it.

My question is.. if I get a 2wd 4L80E from a van that had a 4.8 or 5.3 in it, do I still need a different flexplate and spacer? I assume I'd need a flexplate that had 6 converter bolt holes in it, but I was under the impression that I only needed the spacer if using a 80E from behind a 6.0.

It doesn't matter which engine is in front of the 80e.
If ur gonna use the stock 80e converter 6bolt then u will need a spacer and flat flexplate.

If going aftermarket from one if the big names then they can set u up with a 3/6bolt 80e converter that doesn't require the 80e stock flexplate. U can then use a dished LS style 5.3 flexplate.
