    This is awesome. Can't wait to see how you build this up, Justin. I have a 30 gal freshwater that I've maintained for the last five years and still have one of my first fish in there. Been getting the saltwater itch myself lately, so this caught my attention

    Going to have the wife pick out some paneling for the stand today. Gonna go ahead and re-skin it completely. Probably going with solid black, but I was really hoping to go with red cedar panels with black trim... don't think she's going to let me.

    Ended up convincing her to let me stain some plywood dark cherry. I've got the main panels on. Starting the trim next.

    Got her skin off and started the new one. I'm no carpenter, but I think in the end it'll look fine. Got called in to work so I can't go any further today.



    I realize the edges don't meet. But the plywood is level and trim will cover the corners.

    Checked out a little stain before I head to work. It'll end up being this color. This is two coats, 10 minutes each. Rustoleum Dark Cherry.
