None of my 3 z71s have had painted grilles. My fathers doesn't either.

Yeah I figured the LT1 package "wins" the appearance battle. But I worked for dealerships for a while before the military so sometimes odd packages show up and its almost a battle of options lol. But that was VW so this is all new to me. All I know is I grin when I get in my "new" truck everyday.

I also have to say I rarely get this much of a welcome in introduction threads in any forum. I can already tell its a good groups of people on here, which will help when I start asking some odd questions most likely haha.

I am familiar with searching and I am a computer geek. I already have some SPECIFIC question recording some posts I have found but those will wait until I am ready to buy. I am not saying I am infallible but I try my best to find the info first. And as a former forum moderator I understand the importance of searching lol. Or course I also respect newer people with not as much knowledge in automotive technology as the more experienced professionals, so even though I come from a german road racing background I hope to be able to contribute a bit as well as picking the brains of the experienced member's of this site.

Some people get lots of attention when they first get here, but they bring it upon themselves. They refuse to search and get offended when told to do so. They just can't take good natured ribbing. Newbies usually get tested, and pl4boy (Justin) and others usually run them off. Also, as long as you know your question are oddball, you will be alright.
