    g80?

found this at the local pick-n-pull the other day and I'm tired of one wheel peeling around and i need some help. is it a g80? came out of a 00 silvy with a v8. didnt even think to get the vin or look at the glove box. if so what is needed to instal into my truck. I'm keeping my 3.42's so do I still need a master rebuild kit?

Did you pull the whole cluster out? If you got the entire setup with some 3.73 gears from a z71 that would work nicely. You should still freshen up whatever you can.

If you plan on spinning a tire for any reason, DO NOT install that. G80's are complete junk. Spend the money and put something in that will last.

If you want a G80 I'll sell you mine. It's been blessed by angels. Had to have been, there's no way it would have lasted as long as it has.
