Dash Wiring, What wires control what?

I wanted to sort through what factory wires are in the cab of my 94' silverado. I am trying to identify which wires I will need to make my factory guages work with the new 5.3 before I drop it in the truck. I wanted to have the wires marked and labeled before this happens. I tried putting the multimeter on the wires and checking continuity to the dash instrument panel connector and only found the temp wire. Any help at this point is more than appreciated.

Here are the connectors behind the glove box.

Here is the green temp sensor wire and ignition wire that run through the driver's side firewall. Not sure if some of these other wires are needed to hook back to harness or the underhood fuse box.

And here is the instrument panel connector that I am using to try to check continuity to other wires that run to these guages.

Any help is more than appreciated.
