When I had to call my wife and told her I though I just blew the transmission in my truck I was actually hoping it would catch fire. LOL.... I would of started over with a 6.2

believe it or not i know the feeling you went through, it happened to me on the same 4l60e im running today, was on I10 heading home from baytown when the transcooler line blew off when i hit the gas peddle, best damn smoke show i ever been to lmao!!, had a few miles to go before the first storemade it in and they didnt have enough fluid ( damn ) it was barely showing on the stick, didnt have a choice limped it another mile or so to another store, bought all there fluild ( 14 quarts total ) cheap chit at that, ran it for a month drained it and added some advance special
shes still running today behind my 408

best of luck hope nothing inside went wrong !
Simple: 408 on steroids!
single digits coming soon!
My truck when up in flames one day when some tranny fluid shot out the dipstick tube and hit the turbo manifold . I got it put out before it done to much damage. Talk about a panic attack!
99 rcsb silverado...... boosted.
I got all the lines except one made up since I was short one fitting. I pulled the pan last night and the fluid was just above the top of the filter. It pumped out enough that I didn't get the usual shower. I drained it into new foil roasting pans so I could look for carnage but couldn't feel any grit and the color was still bright red.
I did notice there were a few bolts that hold the valve body in had some very small amounts of metal magnetized to them. Not sure if this was from standard wear or if i should be worried.
Here are a few pics of the of the Braided setup. BTW anyone looking to do this NNBS uses -6 straight cut O ring into the transmission and coolers. Don't convert the radiator cooler fittings since they have a large washer that seals the trans cooler to the radiator end tank and holds in the fluid.... Don't ask how I figured this out..

Bracket and isolator clamps I put in to hold the lines still by the bellhousing

Very nice. I was behind TvsQuez one time in Cali near Bakersfield and his cooler line popped off and did the same thing. I was behind him and got tranny fluid ALL over my truck![]()

Love the lines, I have been wanting to do something very similar with mine. Should be alot stronger, IMO.
