You're also in the perfect spot to learn how to use it. With a stock truck. Do your research, tune your stock truck. Ok do your bolt ons and with knowledge you gained tuning your truck the first time, do it again. Build on your knowledge. Comes time to cam it, repeat.

Even the pros are learning everyday. Now days there's all kinds of stock motors running around the 20psi mark. Four years ago, there would have been parts everywhere. Guys were blowing up 5.3s on 10psi and had good guys tuning them, but as they've done more and more they've learned more and more. And now we have guys taking stock blocks into the deep 10s in full size trucks.

Sweet! That's why I want to buy an HP. Cause yea, I can pay my neighbor $300 to tune it for me, or I can buy an HP, learn to use it an tune my truck as I go along. Is there a manual or some literature that I should buy that is HP specific?

Th HPTuners forum is your best bet. There's lots of write-ups and people are quite helpful.

For sure. Reading the forums didn't help me much at all. Trial and error, reading the info below the tables, and pestering you and Casey with ridiculous questions got me where I am... Which isn't very far.

I know I am not that good with hptuners yet, but I have found no one thing is the silver bullet except maybe a pro teaching you step by step. Otherwise it comes down to a little bit of everything. Read a lot, watch whichever videos you can get your hands on(I wouldn't pay for the banish DVDs again although I still own them), use the forums to ask questions, practice using the program as much as you can, and try not to blow anything up. it all comes with time.

Please go to the hptuners website and read. We are here to help, not provide answers that are easily accessible to you with minimal effort.
