243s and ls6 cam and Walah you have an LS6. I would suggest getting a set of worked 243s(milled slightly and a good p&p) and a good sized cam (226/230 or 224/228 come to mind). Add a triple disk 34-3600 stall and you have a scary fun ride on your hands.

Are you talking about a true LS1? 5.7 aluminum block f-body, corvette style or the generic term used to describe a gen III, IV engine. If so, I've always wondered about 243/799 heads combo package on an LS1.

Don't be scared haha it would be worth it. If you want to go more mild then get the 243s milled P&P and throw a mild(216/220) cam at it. No need for a stall and plenty of power to work with.

Boost or spray are about the only options to get over 400rwhp. Even cam heads and every Bolton on the market you won't likely hit 400. 325-375 is the expected range for a cam and heads 5.3 when tuned well. Most people don't understand what 300+ will even feel like because they don't realize these trucks only put down 215ish stock.
