When lift gets agressive and over .600 a good double spring becomes very very important. With any stall or anyone who tows really a big transmission cooler becomes very important. The issue of reliability and driveability comes down to having the correct supporting mods and a very good tune. All things considered a speced cam from the likes of PatG and a stall speced by the likes of Chris at circle D will be your very best bet. The cam I like best for your mods and desires. 220/224 .607/.609 LSA 112 with a 3400 triple disk from circle d. With a trucool 40k cooler and patriot gold springs or the lunati equivalent you should be pretty good to go minus the other random things you will need.

I had the 220/224 low lift and loved it, mine was backed behind a 3000-3200 stock trans and gears. Allen hooked me up with a killer tune.

Don't forget to take into effect your DOD and VVT definitely changes up the outlook on cam swaps for a newer truck, not quite as simple as the original LS stuff
