Yes, a couple of these type builds have been done before and work well. I think the main complaint is that the cost vs a 6.0 taken to 402/8/14 is so close that the 383 is much less common. If you can get the machining cost down then it would be a good idea tho the hard internal parts will still cost you a pretty penny. using an iron block I don't see why not. For me I would be much more likely to build a 408, but to each there own and I like the 5.3 stamp idea kinda fun.
