    Side by side racing.

I am going to be racing side by sides this weekend at a huge company party. The biggest race I will be in is a 10 car race around a motocross track. Basically going up against 9 other guys (who are all regional managers in my company). We will be racing race preped(mostly safety stuff) Polaris 800 RZR base models. The winner will take home the ride of their choice. I have driven these a good bit, but never in a short track environment. Anyone ever done this type of racing and/or have any advice?

This is only a small part of the party but the most exciting to me (racing duh) to give you an idea of how big we go with these parties 2 years ago we had the entire nitro circus crew do a full on allout show as a part of it.

Ive pit crew'd for mini sprints and that shits intense! I dig anything racing except nascar!

If yall hot lap find a good line and stick to it! Sometimes the fastest way around the track aint the shortest.

This is good advice. Find a line that works for you and stick with it. Don't get caught up in trying to pass because YOU will end up the one getting passed. I have several family members that are into dirt tracking and a couple that race ATVs/Motorcross and the best advice I can add is BE FEARLESS! Don't be scared to hit a corner hard...brake early and throttle through the curve. Most novice riders will brake late and come out of the corner soft.

Thanks for the encouragement fellas. Anyone have any idea if it would be better to run in 2wd or AWD/4wd? I know some machines run a lot slower in AWD, but I'm not that familiar with these.... I will have some track time to figure it out, but only like an hour or so of practice.
