well, since my suspension build is on hold I'll be going back to the engine work on my 05'.

Here are a few cam's I'm looking at, these were suggested to me by an engine builder in Lubbock. I honestly have no idea but was leaning towards the 220R after riding in a truck with one. I'll have a Circle D 3200 Stall to go with it. This is for my 05' CCSB Z71 that I'm building into a prerunner.

    224/224 .581"/.581"
    220/220 .581"/.581"
212/218 low lift - saw a few deals on used cams (Chevrolade just bought the one I was looking at)

    Thoughts/suggestions?

A TR220 will sacrifice a little lift, but allow you to run LS7 valve springs saving you some money while increasing durability of parts. It will also match that stall really well.

I already have a set of LS7 springs too. If I can find a good deal on one of these I'll prob just go with the 220

Not all 220s are built the same. The thunder racing version i believe is more in the .551/.551 lift range. The LS7 spring are good to .550 or .570 or .590 depending on who you talk to. Darnie1987 has a 5.3 with that same cam and stall on 33" tires and can't get traction to save his life so should be good for you as well.

With my new job I barely have time to even see my new house, much less work on my prerunner - the Frac industry is going full speed in West Texas. I should have more time to work on it soon though.

Update... the CNC at the machine shop will be available for use again soon so we can finish our spindles. We have all 4 cut out, just making the final dimension cuts and upper/lower ball joint mounts. We have the code lined out to cut out our lower and upper arms, we'll just need a conference call with Jess on setting up our Kings up front.

As far as my drive train up grades, I scrapped the cam idea and donated/sold my stall to a friend for his build and will just be looking for a 6.0 4L80 combo to build up and possibly turbo. Which 6.0 should I go with for the easiest swap and best power options?

If your looking to go turbo I would just go with a 01 up lq4 they are lower compression than the lq9 so it would be perfect for a turbo build.
03 rcsb(v6 at the moment) soon to be 370 turbo
