Kind of a random question here.....does any body know if the 6.0L sounds anything like an LS1? I looooooove that ls1 sound and i figured they ought to sound similar since theyre built off the same motor..(i wanna put one in my truck )
Flowmaster, dual 3" tips, nice wheels.....just like every other '93 silverado.....

I know I'm late, but I just recently heard a 6.0 with a cam, and it sounds pretty similar to an f-body. But I think the cam has a lot to do with it also. The 6.0 I heard definately has a deeper tone than the 5.3 I heard before it.

1982 Silverado - just an old truck motor I had sitting around the house.

My truck stock was so quiet I HAD to get the cam in to hear it. Now with the cam it lopes nicely.... just sick!!!!!

I'll see if I can't get a video up.

I have a 6.0L and it is smooth sounding. It has a deep tone, but no lope. A cam will fix that.

If they had the same exhaust setup, I don't think they would sound too different. The LS2 is higher compression and a different cam profile. But I don't think its enough to make any extreme changes to the sound of the exhaust.
