    FINALLY getting some work done.

Started ordering parts 2 weeks ago for my truck. After about 4 hours trying to get the header bolts out Country_3030 got the heads pulled Monday and delivered to the machine shop for a valve job and .020 mill. Swapped in the new cam 219/227 .607/.614 112lsa and a set of LS7 lifters Wednesday night. Got the heads back yesterday, and the big brown truck dropped off a set of Comp 918's and a rocker trunnion upgrade. Hoping to have the engine fired tonight and take it for a test drive. Only parts I'm missing are the wideband, the gauge mount that FedEx delivered to who knows where, and one of the cheap 70 dollar ebay cai kits, mainly to clean up under hood.

Also this week swapping the 3.42s for a set of 3.73s front and rear, and replacing the locked up g80 with a new posi and bearings.
Truck: 05 GMC CCSB SLT Z71,
    Go Faster: 5.3, 219/227 .607/.614 112, milled heads, eBay CAI, Circle D 2800, 3030 Built 60E, E-Fans, 3030 Tuned, LT's, Spintech Muffler, DuraGrip w/ 3.73's
Look Better: 10K HID's lows & fogs, tinted Chevy tails

Good luck with the 918's. I definitely would have gone with a good double spring with that much lift.

+1. You should see what 918's did to my engine. Not sure if their quality has improved over the last few years. Good luck.

The cam came out of a iron ls1 running 918s, so I should be okay. The old production are .600 lift, new production are .625. Yes I have a 2800 stall, which will be plenty.

We got it fired last night bout midnight. Made some adjustments with the idle and spark and let idle to operating temp and shut it down for the night. Gonna go over in a bit to get it out and make a couple short drives to tune a little and heat cycle the springs. Wideband should arrive Tuesday so hopefully by the end of the week it will have a good tune and maybe have the gears swapped.
