Haha, look, it did it, I don't know how. But it did. and I wish I could do it again. And I had the 6.0 in it now that I think about it. plus I babied the hell out of it. not speeding, no burnouts, just really easy. Those were good days haha I had a 4.3 once and it too wasn't that good. Probably because of how hard the engine had to work compared to the 6.0.
Manual Trans is much more efficient. And a 4.8 or 5.3 will usually always out do a 4.3 in mileage bc the 4.3 is old crap technology. When I had my manual in my truck @ 600+ rwhp on a 6.0/gtk850 single fmt I got 18-20 when cruising it regularly, so I could see high 20s out of a 4.8 easy. It just sux bc the manual wasn't near a fast as the auto.

The best advice I have ever heard:... Only take B( . Y . )ST advice from someone that is CURRENTLY running a turbo setup close to, or bigger than what you want......
That's the only benefit to the 5speed.

My 4.3 AVERAGED 21. My 5.3 averages 24, never seen it go below 20. The V6 was tuned only. The V8 is a heads/cam combo. All other variables are the same.

5.3 is the best in mpg out of the Ls engines
I have had all 4.3-6.2 lol
69chvelle and another mutal friend not on here, both run wait4me tunes and are pleased with them. Both their cars are cammed and one also has heads. Great bang for the buck, his tune's are about the cheapest out there.
